Are you superstitious in any way?   I'm not - although I always put shoes the right way round - and if I spill salt I chuck a bit over each shoulder because I can never remember which it's supposed to be.  Touch wood that works.  ;o)

The only thing I'm superstitious about is seeing one magpie. It makes my heart sink.

Daft, innit?

No I've never been Paraskevidekatriaphobic.

I always touch wood. and always salute a single Magpie in flight... with thoughts not to be shared on AB.

Friday 13th... Tesco delivery... has been postponed something has happenend to our driver... via text (Gist of it) it will be delayed. Using the Tracker was due in ten minutes.

Naomi, oh no if you throw salt over both shoulders they cancel each other out and the bad luck remains!

fun fact, why it's bad luck to walk under a ladder:

//Ladders were left in the tombs of the deceased so that they could ascend up to the heavens when they were ready. the Egyptians believed that the space between the ladder and the wall was home to good and evil spirits. If disturbed, the spirits would be angered, so it was forbidden for anyone to walk beneath a ladder.//

Is that right, TTT?  That explains it then.  :o((

.. or something or someone may fall on your head.

I always say good morning to a single magpie, never cross anyone on the stairs either. On the few occasions I have salt in my hand I always throw some back over my left shoulder. I understood it as the devil sits on our left shoulder so it's some in the eye for him.

The reason one doesn't walk under ladders is so that there is less chance of a pot of paint or a lump-hammer landing on your head.

One of my sons was born on a Friday the 13th. And what a nightmare birth it was!

I'm always spilling salt...that explains a lot of things!

Your safeness of pixies and fairies no doubt Pasta.

Im not superstitious! I used the No 13 bus this morning, and had to ring my neighbours bell at No 13. By coincidence our breakfasts cost £13!

Broken a few mirrors without problems

I only touch wood in the morning.

13th bad luck for me today, no sun here in Majorca.

tris deka phobia - fear of the 13th

Interesting thought of the day ( R4 0800) - Sikhs revere it - 13th sounds like Yours apparently ( like Mandarin ba can be 8 or peach or bat) - yours being gods

What the *%**%?  ^^^

I didn't even know it was Friday the 13th until I saw this post.

Has anything gone wrong for me today?

No more than any other day.

So you are a little bit superstitious then Naomi!

I'm not bothered about Fri 13th, We exchanged on our house on that day many years ago and it went through well because others avoided the day.

I am superstitious about not putting new shoes on the table; I do have conversations with Magpies ask after the wife etc but only when driving; I would avoid saying Macbeth in a theatre and I cross my fingers when I really want something to go right.
