Picking Kemi Badenoch as leader shows the Cons still haven't listened The British people sent a clear message to the Cons on july 4th.   The Tory leadership election shows it was all about themselves and their party. Badenoch has in the past made offensive comments about autistic children and suggested she would get rid of the maternity allowance and slash the minimum wage.Where Labour are delivering to the Public by extending maternity rights ,and raising the minimum wage for millions of hard working low paid workers. And a record investment in the Health sevice.

Did she make any mention of the Winter Fuel Allowance? Before the election the Labour Party stated that they would keep the WFA,as soon as they get into power they abolish it.

Question Author

The new Labour Govt have been straight with the British Public. They  had to make difficult decisions in the Budget after inheriting a dire economic situation from the.

Me first ,Party second and stuff Joe Public Tory Party

Well the Labour Party seems to be stuffing the pensioners right now.WTH the Labour Party got against old people?

How long do you think she'll last. She's bound to make some awful gaffes, surrounding herself with cronies. Two years? That seems to be the going rate for Tory leaders recently.

Question Author

ynnafymmi 09.27 Think you will find that Labour have not abolished the WFA ...They have quite rightly means tested it ,so that wealthy stinking rich millionaires dont recieve it.

Nonsense.I know all politicians lie,but prior to the election the Labour Party made a cast iron promise to keep the WFA.Starmer is actually on camera stating his position on WFA.As i asked previously WTH has the Labour Party got against old people?

Ehhh, the WFA has been kept. But the CBA ( Christmas Booze Allowance) is no more.

09.56 drmorgans "How long do yo think she will last" ? Longer than the life of a lettuce .

Think she may have to go in the freezer, but even then fridge burn could set in.

ynnafymmi @ 10.09:

//....WTH has the Labour Party got against old people?//

The same as lots of people. They are old and not worth spending on, cos they won't be around for long anyway. The "old", are a waste of money. Ooops. Nearly typed Monet!

@10.23.My partner doesnt drink nicebloke1.The Labour Party seems to be throwing money(£11.5 billion at the last count)at African dictators and Palestinian terrorists, perhaps they could or should bung some of this free cash to British pensioners instead?

gulliver must be slipping up, nicebloke has given 2 answers and he hasn't got best answer yet.

@09.56.Well since 2000,i reckon both the Labour Party and the Tory Party have had about seven or eight leaders each.So you might as well be asking how long(pensioner starving)Starmer will last?

My mum is 104 soon still lives in the same house for 65 years everything in there is much the same as it was when i lived there, has got the minimum income and has always managed to get by, even now. Why??? Because she STILL, cuts her coat according to her cloth. People today have no idea how to do the latter thats there problem, NOT the governments. We now have a chancellor who knows how to cut her cloth and is passing that skill on.

Why do you think Sunaks trousers were always to short? <:0)

Question Author

Best Answer yet again to Mr Nicebloke ."Why do you think Sunaks  trousers were too short"🤣 PMSL 🤣

Thks gully, i just cant help myself. :0))))

@10.43.Shouldnt the African dictators and Palestinian terrorists not also be cutting their coats according to their cloth nicebloke1?Seems not.

ynnafymmi, "the Labour Party made a cast iron promise to keep the WFA"

I had a look at this year's Labour manifesto and there's no mention of the Winter Fuel Payment at all.

You didnt look hard enough THECORBYLOON,try again.

10 53. Your talking a whole different ball game, I'm more concerned of what happens in the UK and so should you. The cons rapped every money tree, labour are having to replant. There are to be tight lines until those money trees start producing their fruit, and all the complaining in the world won't make any difference. As my mum as said many many times, make do with what you have and make the most of what you have. My mums WFA from the 20s 30s 40s and into the 50s was an OLD ARMY COAT to put on if it got to cold.
