Picking Kemi Badenoch as leader shows the Cons still haven't listened The British people sent a clear message to the Cons on july 4th.   The Tory leadership election shows it was all about themselves and their party. Badenoch has in the past made offensive comments about autistic children and suggested she would get rid of the maternity allowance and slash the minimum wage.Where Labour are delivering to the Public by extending maternity rights ,and raising the minimum wage for millions of hard working low paid workers. And a record investment in the Health sevice.

If you can find it in their manifesto, tell me where it is.

I used the search facility to look for, "Winter Fuel Payment" but nothing found.

I can't find it either.

Oh,dear,what a shame.

Another good thing this brand new Labour Govt is doing, is giving more money to state schools by ending tax breaks for private schools. Good .

ynnafymmi, and neither can you because it isn't there.

Gulliver, yes, just think of all those kids who were never a burden on the state system but whose education now has to be paid for from tax-payer funds - a cost that will in no way be covered by taxing private schools.  What a bunch of dingbats this government is!  And the chancellor an economist too!

Reeves admits she was wrong to say there would be not tax rises in the Manifesto.  Once again she blames the mythical 'black hole' which has been rejected by most organisations, including the OBR.  What else has she got wrong, time will show, while we all pay for her mistakes.

She wasn't wrong - they lied.

Mr Sunak in the run up to the election told us what a Labour government would cost us in higher taxes and Mr Starmer denied it.  Turns out Mr Sunak wasn't quite correct - he under-estimated it.

@11.27.Errr,who said it was in their manifesto? It wasnt me.It was THECORBYLOON who mentioned the manifesto.

Mr Sunak knew there was a big black that no one else knew about. And a win by labour was the only way the cat would be out the bag. But that didnt stop Sunak spending beyond the means with  40 million pound contract for the school run ,did it. Like i said the money trees rapped.

"a big black",nicebloke1?What the heck you on about?

ynnafymmi, you're disingenuous - but when trying to defend the indefensible - this Labour government - that goes with the territory.

11.43 Ok i missed hole out, but I'm sure you new that. Knit picking is normal on here when theres no other place to go.<:0)

Opps  the missing K.

11.30 Ynnafymmi You said you had got proof on camera @ 10.09

ynnafymmi, "the Labour Party made a cast iron promise to keep the WFA"

The Winter Fuel Payment is available still but not on the same basis as in previous years.

Why would any, "cast-iron promise" not be included in the Labour manifesto?

It might be helpful if you provided a link to your source so we can read or hear what the, "cast-iron promise" was.

What a kebbie lebbie!  Nothing better to do on a Sunday?

You're here, maggiebee.

I'm trying to find out the mystery of the severed head in Edingburgh

According to gullivers "thinking", this country consists of people who are means tested or stinking rich millionaires. There are many thousands who now no longer qualify but are struggling because of this Governments ill thought out and according to the Unite union, illegal, decision. When the Labour party lose the next election and are dead and buried, their epitaph will be "We did the best for our country by removing a heating allowance for most of the elderly and infirm".

Shame on them and their supporters.
