What A Long Day!!

So, after driving 115 miles to my eldest sons house today, I spent 4 hours with him and his family, I then had to drive another hour at 5 pm to my middle sons house to spend 2 hours there as I'd promised to see him this eve. Then left there and drove another half hour to hotel to check in! Ended up missing all meals and haven't eaten a thing, and was too late to eat at hotel. Will have to wait till breakfast now.

Tomorrow will be a  combination of seeing daughter and middle son, either together or separately depending on what each wants to do. And more of the same on Sunday. Will need a holiday to rest after this weekend lol.

Because I'm sick of waiting for them to visit. So too the bull by the horns and drove up to do it all myself lol!

I would go to the ends of the Earth for my kids and probably will have that pleasure when they fly the nest 🪹 🪺

To be fair eldest son did ask if I was hungry but just didn't want to say yes and put them out.

As for hubby, yes he does cook when I'm away (or get a takeaway lol) but he is also away visiting a client this eve so won't be home till tomorrow.

Smow you are naughty you should have gratefully accepted your son's offer.  It's not a big deal to make a sandwich or boil an egg.

You sound like an amazing mother and grandmother, Smow. I love that you took initiative and made things happen. Feel I am in same boat where have to instigate meetings etc but so worth it and creating wonderful memories. Keep up the good work! You sound so loving and caring and you are doing best job x

Why didn't you stay with one of them?

No room really to stay with any of them unless I slept on sofa and with my spinal injury that just wouldn't work.

Yes one son is in March, one son is in a village called Bircham Newton, and daughter is in Wisbech(which is actually Cambs). Youngest is all way down in Devon.
