for a similar American site. It was set up by refugees from Ask Jeeves's 'AnswerPoint' site. That was the part where REAL people answered questions, as opposed to their other part which is run by an insane robot. They certainly got rid of the wrong half! Give it a try...might 'see' you there, X.

What a peculiar thing the star-rating system on AnswerBank is, to be sure! I offered an actual - helpful, I thought - answer to the question posed and got two stars, whilst Tartanwizard just said he'd tried the recommended site and didn't like it...for 3 stars! Were the 2 stars for me, my answer or for AnswerPool, xyz? (Good luck to you, by the way, T.)
This is the largest trivia site in the world - it's divided into quite a few areas - quizzes, forums, Q and A and an area for those who want hints for comps and quizzes. See what you think-------http://www.funtrivia.com
Thing is Quiz monster, 2 stars for recommending a site complete with url and worthy. But 3 stars to TW for going to the site, and delivering an opinion about it similar to my own. Nice try QM but answerpool has been mentioned before and maybe I should have qualified that in my question. So, AB, looks like you just about got a monopoly on snappy answers to snappy questions. Aren't we lucky. Also even 1star is a positive you know, most answers don't get rated.
Try this page http://www.refdesk.com/expert.html
which offers links to literally dozens of other question'n'answer websites. That's just got - unless you don't like any of them, of course - to be worth another two stars to get me up to the six, xyz!
