am I alone in thinking this is good justice for the PC who has got off batonning a pro-hunt supporter here

If PC Grant ever reads this (you never know with google searches etc!) all the best and keep up the good work.

If Miss Lovelace ever reads this then it deserves you right. Now you know how the fox feels you [edited by AB]

Good job she wasn't carrying an old chair leg in a plastic bag, still the Police would have got away with it !!!

Stevie21 I agree with you the double standards of the previous posters are amazing.

Elfin More people are now said to be either following the hunts or actually riding with the hunt than have been over the last few years, therefore your generalization of no-one likes these savages is completely untrue. Oh and for the uneducated you do not have to be posh to hunt, people from all walks of life hunt. Littleoldme What did you personally give to the thousands of Rover employees recently made redundant? or what action did you take to show your support for them?
I always had sympathy for animal rights and anti-hunt protesters but if the views of the previous posters are what these groups really think my sympathy has been sadly misplaced.

There is no such thing as 'good' jutice or 'bad' jusitce - there is just justice.

I am too epxerienced with Ward-Minter's provocative style to get into a debate about the rest of his posting - I suggest all others do the same.

Mr Hughes I disagree. Is it not bad justice if a kiddy fiddler gets a few months and is good justice when he gets life?

Stevie21, I can assure you I have nothing whatsoever against posh people. One may even say I am posh. In fact most of the time I can not stand the peasants who befall our bowling alleys. Alas it is about the fox. And Miss Lovelace, with her stupid wannabe porno name, is nothing more than a strumpet. I really hope it smarted.

Fair enough about the lack of anti-posh, Ward-Minter, but there's definitely an air of prejudice against Miss Lovelace that an anti-war or anti-capitalism protestor wouldn't get. They'd be seen as good guys whereas she's seen as asking for it.

Hoping that her face is "scarred for life" is beneath even the most idiotic posters that I've read on this site and I hope you regret that type of statement.

If someone's being beaten and bruised, we shouldn't stop to ask them about their political leanings before feeling sympathy.

No Ward-minter this not about a fox it is about a protester being hit by a policeman.

In future any protester involved in a rowdy protest, the only type to attracted media attention, can be hit by the police with the knowledge that this case can be cited to allow the police to 'get away with it'

stevie21 I can assure you anybody who protests against capitalism (I am the ultimate laisez-faire individualist) and especially the war would get worse treatment from me.

No I do not regret saying she is scarred for life. In fact I regret not saying I hope she suffers intolerable pain and life-long agonising contusions for the wickedness in her heart.

sandbach99. It is about the fox for me. The evil Lovelace had the choice not to be at the said protest. The fox who is violently killed is just going about his/her daily business.

This was not intended as debate for/against fox hunting. I can assure you that nobody is more concerned about the erosion of Britishness than me. And I am more traditional than roast beef. Ergo my stance on anti-hunting really is a contradiction of my politics.

And finally I do not believe this will be cited as a stated case. In this situation the Police have no more rights than anybody else. The case was simply as case of use of force. The mitigating circumstances and the passion of pro-hunters will hold no weight with future decisions. I know of no significant stated cases from either The Miners strike nor the Poll Tax Riots where similar tactics were used.

if the officer felt threatened or believed his or others lives were at risk then he had every right to use his asp. good work...
If Miss Lovelace got ripped apart by hounds that would be justice.
