Landing at the wrong airport

Now that the dust has (presumably) settled concerning this:

does anybody know if any disciplinary or other action has been taken?

* Did the pilot ignore what his instruments were telling him?

* How can an "unidentified" aircraft land at a military airport?

* How can Air Traffic Control not have known that the aircraft was approaching the wrong airport?

* What would have happened if this incident had occurred the day after 9/11 or the day after the London bombings?

They have done it again !!! Although the circumstances are somewhat different.

It happened about 2/3 years ago at Belfast International Airport when a passenger airliner (one of the bigger airlines) landed by mistake in RAF Aldergrove a few miles away.

i have heard (don't know how true) but the ryan air pilots are under a lot of pressure to get in on time to avoid delays and extra cost to the airline. i have heard that they even ignore air traffic control and push in infront of other aircraft! so maybe they were in such a hurry they landed at wrong airport?

if you look at the date of their apparant "cover up" it might tell you something!!

bella, the actual incident took place in March. You are right about the date of Ryanair's "cover-up".
