I read in the paper this morning of an ex soldier who, although having been born to British parents in Canada, has lived in this country for 43 years. He has now been told that he can't live here any longer and faces deportation in a few weeks! So, a muslim fanatic who preaches hate towards Britain can stay here forever, but someone who has lived here for 43 years and served the country in the Army has to leave! Absolutely ridiculous.

Yep, that sounds about right re the current climate. Rule Britannia eh ? That is absolutely ludicrous.
You can even highjack an airliner, and be allowed to stay in this country.
If we all feel this way....why don't we speak up against the do gooders! people who live in their country houses who don't have to suffer the c**p we have to put up with from these people..

Move the threat out to the country where the 'Politically Correct' human rights preaching idiots live...See if MP's get something done about it then..I'm sick of it!

So what if a terror raid turns up no hard evidence

You have to break a few eggs,If you wanna make an omelette!
is that the same guy who's only getting kicked out cos he got a new passport? his old one had 'indefinite leave to stay' in it or something, buthis new one doesn't.
I've not seen this story. Can you post a link? Thanks.
lol @ politically correct human rights preaching idiots.
I think you'll find most country folk are a lot more bigotted and intolerant than the townies (me included).
Here here ugly bob . I live in very rural england and feel equally as strongly about these issues, thanks capper.
This is how the anti British Liberal elite respond to criticism of the imigrant situation. Essentially they'll go and find a case where technically the person has to leave and use that to say "Ok we are doing our job, look we are going to boot out some old guy on a technicality, that's what you wanted wasn't it" - Is there anyone in the public sector with common sense? Come to think of it why is it called common sense, seems pretty un common to me.
On the same vein, I work on the Underground, and we had a chap from Ghana, who fought for this country during the war, lived over here since demob, family, children, paid all his taxws and dues, then he was told he wasn't allowed to live here, he died from a heart attack long long after, we don't know, but we believe the worry killed him.
I have so much to say about this, yet I am rendered speechless...

A friend of mine was going out with a Kosovan refugee. He stayed here for 4 years. Never claimed benefits, got a permit to work & work hard he did. He paid tax. He was deported. I can't fathom it!

Sorry to be picky, but they're not being deported, they're being removed. Foreign criminals are deorted, and not allowed to come back again. If someone is removed they are allowed to return.
The guy in my example was deported..and he wasn't a criminal.
that is an absoloute outrage this contry is going mad!!!!!
this country has been going mad for years...everything about it is a joke.
He can't have been deported then Pippa, it's just that most people mistakenly call it that.
