23% of British Muslims.....
believed that the attacks of 07/07 were justified according to a dispatches poll. This is seriously worrying. My 2 questions are: How many British Muslims are there living in GB? and how many people were in the poll?

I'm sorry, but I cannot answer your second question because I don't know who organised the poll. Sorry!

the poll result would have been from a "representative sample" & used to project a national figure; however it would be easy to slant the figures by deliberately taking "samples" from areas known for their radicalism or for being moderate. I'm not saying the pollsters did do that, but without knowing more I'd still have to remain sceptical about the 23% figure.
And almost a third said they would not report suspected terrorism to the police & almost half believed 9/11 was a conspiracy between the Americans & Jews.
Very worrying!
And that's just those who admit to it publicly, I believe the real figure could be a lot higher.
Sort of puts the problem into perspective.

Whatever else we might say about suicide bombers, bill barlow, I don't think we can call them cowards. They are either very brave or else insane. I know I would be too frightened to blow myself up for a political cause - wouldn't you bill?
The accusation of "coward" would be more appropriate for someone who sits in the safety of the White House or Downing Street and sends planes out to drop bombs on innocent men, women and children.

the answer to a poll question does rely in part on the honesty of the respondent. they might give a controversial answer out of mischief, or a "majority" view to hide their true beliefs. alternatively the question may have been worded to draw a specific answer required by whoever sponsored the poll.
I still don't trust the figures.

Here's a piece about the poll (though rather strangely not the 07/07 aspect) with links to a PDF with the full results.
Needless to say BillBarlow was talking out of his hole when he hysterically claimed to know what the other 77% thought.

My "vast wealth".Lol. Is my financial staus even remotely relevant to this topic?
A rich man or poor man's opinion is as valid on any subject, as is a woman's or a man's, a black person's or a white, an old person or a young person. The only people whose opinions are not valid are those that make up statistics in their heads because the facts don't tally with their own tragic right wing view of the world. A Daily Mail reader with little voices who speak to him quoting statistics that aren't real whose hero is Anne Robinson is really not terribly credible is he?
