IMHO - either you recognise that someone can be 'cured' or not. If he is cured then why not release him? If he can't be cured (and I have no medical knowledge in this matter) then he should be kept in a secure unit.
I don't think that he should be anywhere near trips out from jail, he's only done 12 years.
He's serving 10 life sentences for slashing 17 people, 15 of who had their throats cut and slashed.
Think i'd have to ere on the cautious side.
seems a bit contradictory that the article says 'he may never be released from prison' and then he is let out on his own as part of his rehabilitation program. Which is it?
I've always had the idea that the people who authorise nutters, such as him, to be let back into the community should be held responsible for any crimes they commit.e.g. If a mental patient is released early and murders someone.
Unfortunately i've never been elected!
P.S Stafford is only 25 miles away,help!
He will proberly end up working for security in a shopping mall
isn't that unsupervised day out for him, the same as sending a 'cured' paedophile to Disneyland?

just my opinion, i know nothing about anything.
pretty much. Its putting him straight back into the exact environment he felt comfortable commiting such crimes. I also agree with the comment made that people who decided he's safe enough to be let out into the community should be punishable if he offends again. Maybe they wouldnt be so rash then.
just more proof that the powers that be in this country are IDIOTS!!!!
Be fair he only wanted a new sword
LOL trackcab!!!
