Captured israeli soldiers
Does anyone know what has happened to the two israeli soldiers allegedly captured by Hezbollah militia some time ago?
My recollection of the event tells me that was the basis for Israel to go to war with Lebanon in the summer. Some people have suggested that the war was merely to divert attention from what else was going on at the time.
What are your views and what do you think it has achieved?

nah....not possible. The US are a white, christian country. They are freedom loving and a beacon of hope for the oppressed of the world. they would not do this...no way. They have not done it before and wont do it again. See after all Bliar supported them and surely Bliar knows what he is doing. he follows the white christian god too. not possible.
Thanks for your responses guys. That was a very good link Maxximus! My own intake on this is that the politics in that region has never been as we expect it to be and one has to look at this from a different angle to get a better perspective on what is really going on over there. (sorry I was meant to put emphasis on "really" by making it in bold)
Unfortunately the scenario we have here is that essentially there are two parties that do not talk directly to eachother (Iran versus USA). The gulf of mistrust has widened between the two nations since the iranian revolution and has for a long time provided amunition to others to exploit this opportunity to their own advantage.
It's really sad that the life of the two israeli soldiers has been endangered. It's even sadder that so many innocent civilians from both sides died during this operation. However, as this article suggests one has to read between the lines and wake up and smell the real coffee. In this case how to get hands on oil in the most lucrative/ profitable way.
