In my opinion, they've not said anything racist whatsoever. Ignorant, stupid, misguided...maybe, but never racist. Yet Jermaine has described Jackiey as 'white trash' and no-one has batted an eyelid. All this classic Asian hysteria and over-reaction...where's the justification?

Ok, Marv - sorry, I got a bit irritated and on my high horse - but I have heard too many people say 'English' to mean 'British' - and when pointed out, they say "sorry, I wasn't thinking, I meant British" which is part of the whole problem.

No, it was not racist, (ignorant and uninformed, yes) - but it has been whipped up and compounded by the respective medias both here and abroad.

To be fair Jade Goody, notorious for her stupidity, her boyfriend that makes Jade look like Einstein, and a half witted beauty pageant queen are hardly representative of the current mode of thinking in the UK and hardly ambassadors for intelligent reasoning. If you are taken in by the media furore and unable to rise above and disassociate yourself with the situation then maybe that says alot about yourself as a person?

There's only a couple of things I've read that are obviously racist, but the rest of their comments just seem like common-or-garden bullying.

Watched it last night to see what all the fuss was about and was totally disgusted at the behaviour of Jade Goodie in particular.....she was like the horrid playground bully with her couple of thick spineless cronies! She would probably get on better with Shilpa Shetty if she (Shilpa) was common as muck, thick as pig sh!t and a bit ugly..unfortunately she (Shilpa) is none of these! While she is stunningly beautiful Jade is just stunningly stupid! But like sp says, lets look on the bright side hopefully JG will be gone from our screens for good after this!

sp has hit upon an excellent point - because of Jade's disgraceful bullying of the gorgeous Shilpa, hopefully there will be a nationwide backlash which means she never gets TV work again - she is as attractive as a festering pus-filled maggot ridden skunk with the brains of a syphilitic idiot and ANYTHING that means I never have to see her gormless porcine features ever again can never really be a completely bad thing, can it?

And as for the thick Liverpudlian (I suspect Sheringham has already changed the locks) "[Shilpa] can't even speak properly". Oh the irony, a scouser saying Shilpa can't talk properly - personally I can understand the gorgeous Shilpa significantly more than the ridiculous accented scouse bird.

Am very very disappointed in Jo - I always thought she was a nice girl.

I don't think they have said anything remotely racist, but they are being school yard bullies, which is equally as bad, isn't it? (I understand Jade sponsored an anti-bullying initiative and they've removed her from their web-site: how excellent, because she will swear blind she hasn't bullied Shilpa so this action I think (I hope) will really hit home).

And what a great, fantastic, intelligent retort by the gorgeous Shilpa (if you haven't guessed by now, I am deeply in lust), paraphrasing, "well done Jade, you're famous for BB, well done".

If the Asian involved in this dispute was the physically unattractive one, sp1814, would you have dared give such a description publicly? My point is, we feel fine about saying what we like about Caucasians, but one negative word against Asians and it's practically World War 3 in seconds flat. And why is what you said about Jade any better than what she's being slammed for saying about Shilpa, to her face and behind her back?

Yeah, Jade said the first one, Danielle said the second and Jo said the third so really they're all as bad as eachother. I don't believe that racism is what has driven them to turn on Shilpa but they obviosly don't see anything wrong now thay have turned on her in referring to her country and her culture in completely derogatory ways.

Even if these things hadn't been said though, and no racist remarks were made, the level of bullying is absolutely abhorrent, though, as people have mentioned, nothing that doesn't happen every year in BB.

However, the increased viewing figures (they added 1.3million viewers in two days) means that this won't be the end of Celebrity Big Brother.

I choose not to watch this tripe , but have read & watched the news about it.

I have to say - a couple of weeks ago, I watched Jade Goody's Mother having a complete make-over, including a facelift, teeth job & the rest.

I was fascinated to see what she'd look like at the end of it, but couldn't get over how badly the Mother spoke throughout the whole programme! She could not string the shortest of sentences together & it was so bad, I was wondering whether she was putting a lot of it on!

I'm one of ten children, born in Islington, then brought up in Essex. Thankfully, none of my siblings nor I talk like her!

If that's how other people across the World perceive us Londoners/Essex people to be, then I hang my head in shame!
