Graffiti Tributes
You'd have thought these people would have more sense than this.
One of the 'artists' that died was in full time work, and had a child.
Apparently they are planning to Bomb the railways with Graffiti Tributes tomorrow, Saturday.
Just stupid.

Russian Roulette, but not only with their own lives, but countless others.
A train hits one of these idiots, it can conceivably be derailed, with the possible injury and loss of innocent lives,
Its never happened to me, although i've had a few 'near misses', I do know quite a few drivers whose train has killed people, so I know the effect it has.
And having been based at Barking, I still have friends there, and even though he wasn't a close friend, I do know the driver who hit the two that were killed.

Whilst I still think its wrong, stupid etc to vandalise trains etc, putting other peoples lives at risk as well as their own
Some of these graffiti artists seem to be very talented...ie its not just a couple of phallic symbols etc.....maybe if they put their talents to better use,...smartening up places with murals etc (legally of course), instead of leaving the Tube etc with a huge clean up bill
I guess its "street cred" though that matters still.

The 19 year old postman who died was from our region. His Dad was on T.V. the other night begging his friends not to go on with this 'tribute'. He described how from an early age his child had the urge to go and draw on things, and when he defaced his first bus, he made him go to the depot with a bucket and cloth and clean up the mess he had made. He hoped that the 'shame' of this would make him change his ways. He clearly came from a decent family, who are heartbroken at the circumstances of his death. Yes, it's mindless destruction, and I have every sympathy for any train driver caught up in these scenarios, but the bereaved families also have my thoughts.
