Intense diplomacy between U.S. and Iraqi officials did not lead to an Iraqi withdrawal. Thus, on January 16, 1991, Allied forces began the bombing of Iraq and Iraqi forces in Kuwait. On February 27, 1991, President George H. Bush had ordered a cease-fire, and any surviving Iraqi troops were permitted to return to southern Iraq.

Thus leaving the present muppet in the white house to say "Don't worry....I'll get him this time Daddy!"....How refreshing to see an ex member of Bush's cabinet has spoken up and claimed he was looking for any little excuse to go to war...presumably to cover up his sheer incompetence and lack of any abilty as a leader?
