Separate prisons for terrorists?
Should Islamic terrorists be imprisoned in their own special jail? On the plus side, their religious needs can be catered for and they will be safe from attack by prisoners who don't share their beliefs. It will also stop them, as has been happening in Belmarsh, from picking on and trying to recruit other ethnic minorities to their cause.
On the down side, why the special treatment? If a particular prisoner feels vulnerable he can be segregated anyway. And should their own particular warped beliefs be catered for if it led to their crimes in the first place?

It would be a propaganda victory on a plate. It would be easy to display this as some sort of prisoner of war camp. They'd appear as political prisoners.
It'd be a British Guantanamo.
It's vital that they don't get special treatment, that they get tried in criminal courts with proper prosecution and defence lawyers and that they go to criminal gaols.
They have to be displayed as criminals and not as martyrs or soldiers - this is exactly the same reason why all this execute them stuff would be a mistake - they have to rot in gaol and be seen to rot in gaol otherwise you're just helping the recruitment process.

or of course we may be dealing with people who are not only totally innocent but actually working for MI5. Torture them anyway.

MI5 are not a nice bunch to do business with. They seem fond of recruiting individuals who do their dirty work for them and then dumped. Remember that English electrician who was recruited by MI5 at the Pakistan embassy who spilt the beans before he took the rap. Then there was the case of the Irish double agent who after carrying out work for MI5 mysteriously had his cover blown and was shot by the IRA. Working for MI5, as that report you gave, shows that recruits are dispensible.

Neilzulu that would make you no better than terrorists, or can you not see that, and surely by making that statement you're inciting religious hatred.

And i suppose all those pric#s who hold up kill uk soilders etc etc are not inciting racial hatred. Every muslim rally has anti british slogans on their boards. Well send them ****#ng back to their backward in bred countries and let our benefits, hospitals and houses be just for uk people, not these terrorist growing animals.
wooo, i for one would not mind temporarily stooping to new depths in order for these scum to be removed from the earth.
you say '' it makes you no better than them'' - well i beg to differ - on the contrary - i would be providing a great public service - acting in a horrific manner for the greater good - it will make the world a safer place - just as all our soldiers do every day - or are you suggesting that all troops are lowest of the low - pure scum?
we can all trot out that tired old cliche, but thats all it is.
and also as for inciting religious hatred - well no - these people are hated for what they have done - not their religion.
public hatred for them has nothing to do with their religion - they have murdered and planted bombs and caused nothing but trouble and heartache - they are terrorists!!
everyone would feel exactly the same way if these people were any other religion or even no religion at all, and doing it in the name of the monster raving loony party !

No I do not believe they should be imprisoned separately. They have either committed murder or planned to do so. Other murderers are not imprisoned separately are they.
As for killing them, no.
We are anti terrorists because they aim to achieve their own ends through killing. If that is the case then killing them, is achieving aims through killing. How can killing of some people be acceptable in one context but not in another. Surely the taking of others lives other than purely in self defence is wrong?
