If have read lots of opinions on whether the Mc Canns killed her or hid her body, and that they do come across guilty. But I think they look guilty because they left her alone many nights crying by the sounds of it, they didn't use the baby sitting service available at the hotel, they also decided to give her drugs to help her sleep so she would not cry out like other nights.

As a result they came back to find her missing, she could have wandered off drugged up and drowned, fallen down and hole/new building foundation which were all round their hotel. Or she was picked up by someone who wanted her for sexual reasons, to sell her as a child slave, or for childless parents who cannot have children. Maddie may have just been a financial gold mine drugged up and easy to grab.

As a result they are responsible for her going missing because they left her and drugged her. She just left the apartment to find her parents as the drugs had altered her thoughts she forgot to stay in the apartment like she was told. Just like being drunk really she wandered off not know what she was doing or where she was going. The Mc Cann must realise this is the case and that is why they have pushed the fact someone has taken her from the room, because they do not want to admit to themselves or others that they were responsible for her leaving the apartment and therefore it is all their fault. If they admitted to leaving and drugging they might face prision, losing their highly paid jobs, losing their home etc and the twins going into care, they weighed up the options...that's what doctors do!

Do people agree this might be the case, or am I wrong?

With all the money in their Madeline fund, why didn't they hire a private investigator. Whats all that money doing there in the account?
I`ve said from the start there`s something odd about the way they have gone about the whole scenario..team mccaan and all that bollox...world tours etc

I hope I`m wrong and maddy is found safe and well but theres deffo something strange going on
what about when he came to London on his own to employ a 'campaign manager' and claimed to have maddies photos stolen from his jacket whilst wearing it? duh
The whole theme of your question was to posit a scenario that you have devised from what you have read or heard from a media that will report or make up anything to make headlines and sell papers. They admitted their guilt about leaving their children from day one.

Yes the fund and the traveling, the famous people they have met even the pope, surely they are not envolved more than 'neglect' but if they are your are talking strange people!

About what 'meeal' said about the day she went missing from the apartment she was at the beach having fun. Does anyone know how far the beach was from the apartment to support my 'she wandered to the beach on her own and drowned theory'. It seems quite obvious that if she enjoyed it that much she would want to go back there again. Doesn't it??? Kids think like that???
It was still very light in the evening, and Madeleine could of wandered off. But if the parents were only 50 ft away from the room? Someone from the group would of seen her surely.

No I do not know how far their apartment was to the beach, and neither do you it seems. Therefore to suppose that this is what she did is pointless.

Yes they went on a trip to highlight the case of their missing girl which can either be seen a parents trying to get as wide a media coverage for their case as possible, or as an opportunity to get as much out of this situation as possible. Depends on your point of view. What would you do in their situation I wonder? Sit in an apartment for 4 months or try to do the only thing that you can do and highlight your little girl's plight to as wide an audience as possible?
There was a wall around the complex...and at that time of night with people milling about it was impossible to see the apartment from where they were....also was it the only time they left their kids alone?...and if they were dining with fellow doctors surely one of them would have said something about leaving the kids alone?

meglet - ok if it makes you happy that I not 'devise' any opinion from anything I have ever read or heard of in the news, maddie could have wandered off without being druged, kids wander off all the time. I am pointing out that is what could have happened, all people seem to say is either someone has taken her or the parents accidentally killed her etc. Not that she just disappeared on her own and died as a result. It is a possiblity.

You don't buy newspaper or watch the news then meglet?? I suppose you did';t beleve Diana had died till weeks later because you thought the papers just created it to sell more papers. Get real, everyone takes stuff with a pinch of salt at times but your taking it all to seriously.
I don't think most parents, would go globe trotting if their child had gone missing. Always immaculately dressed. Thats not saying it makes them guilty. But they have acted really oddly.

Cold and hard.
There have been reports that this was not the only time she was left alone. People heard her crying for her parents on previous nights
Elvis, it seems, no it wasn't the first time they had left their children alone. Madeleine was reported by holidaymakers crying out for her parents one night.
What...the?, actually I don't read the newspapers as I find that most of their reporting is total hype and designed to sell. For example, this may sound stupid but when they started to call her Maddy instead of Madeline I thought they had done this as it fitted better on a headline. I do though watch the news as I find they are held FAR more to account than papers are.

Do you honestly think they don't make stuff up to sell papers? I obvioulsy take things with a far bigger pinch of salt than you do.

There always has to be someone on a thread who has to come in a say 'you cannot say this and that' what has it got to do with you, log off if you don't like it.

People are having a discussion here, we are all pointing out facts and fiction, opinion, views. For one person to then come along and try to tell people what not to say. I think you in a losing battle. You have said you bit stop just trying to cause and argument.
Then they are guilty of neglect then..and as for their fellow diners..shame on them all for sticking up for them

The whole point of a debate What..the? is that people have different opinions, you can't expect everyone to agree with your point of view. As you are entitled to your opinion so is everybody else.
Fellow diners did not always check on the children. Some just listened outside the door, and if there was no sound (of crying) then they went back to their meal.

Another reason they were questioning Kate, is, from what I have read, is that the sniffer dogs found the scent of a dead person on her clothing.
And there is always someone on a thread who says 'if you don't like it, log off'. I assume from that comment that you don't like to be challenged on your opinions?

Surely the point of asing 'do people agree this might be the case or am I wrong' was inviting opinion?

Therefore, if you don't want someoe to call you up on what you say, don't say it! See my point?

Having ones own opinion is fine as I already stated 'freedom of speech' put when it turns in to petty arguments where someone tries to belittle and twist someones words it's gone to far!
