Didn't Maddie just wander off drugged up on sleeping pills?

If have read lots of opinions on whether the Mc Canns killed her or hid her body, and that they do come across guilty. But I think they look guilty because they left her alone many nights crying by the sounds of it, they didn't use the baby sitting service available at the hotel, they also decided to give her drugs to help her sleep so she would not cry out like other nights.

As a result they came back to find her missing, she could have wandered off drugged up and drowned, fallen down and hole/new building foundation which were all round their hotel. Or she was picked up by someone who wanted her for sexual reasons, to sell her as a child slave, or for childless parents who cannot have children. Maddie may have just been a financial gold mine drugged up and easy to grab.

As a result they are responsible for her going missing because they left her and drugged her. She just left the apartment to find her parents as the drugs had altered her thoughts she forgot to stay in the apartment like she was told. Just like being drunk really she wandered off not know what she was doing or where she was going. The Mc Cann must realise this is the case and that is why they have pushed the fact someone has taken her from the room, because they do not want to admit to themselves or others that they were responsible for her leaving the apartment and therefore it is all their fault. If they admitted to leaving and drugging they might face prision, losing their highly paid jobs, losing their home etc and the twins going into care, they weighed up the options...that's what doctors do!

Do people agree this might be the case, or am I wrong?

sorry petal I am reading everything with interest and thanks for posting, sorry for the bother I was trying to defend people posting beacause meglet seemed to be saying we shouldn't say this and that because it's out of the papers.

I wanted people to give there view and we couldn't have people limited to true facts and no opinions based on stuff out of newspapers. We couldn't have a discussion then could we.

Yes I agree people like to argue, I have been on chat a couple of times and when ever I have it's just people having arguements nothing more. Here is no different really, yes daytime seems more layed back, in the evening people seem like they are just out to annoy and upset people. Like people who go out clubbing just for a punch up.

I don't find it weird that GM is excercising and blogging.

A few years back someone I cared deeply for was involved in an accident and hovering in IC. After a long vigil of absolute hell and no change in condition, I went home to shower etc and found one way of coping was pedalling furiously on my excercise bike.

GM probably has a lot of anger to work off, be it at himself or a third anonymous party.

I read an article by John Stalker some time ago, He said that the sniffer dogs followed Maddies scent to the camp supermarket before losing it.

He think, and of course, its supposition, that Maddie woke up, went looking for her parents, (the door was unlocked), ended up at the supermarket, where someone saw Maddie was alone, and abducted her.

Crime of chance, (forgotten what he called it), but as a possibility, what,,the may not be too far out, although i've not heard anything else about this since.

I find this case really puzzling. First of all they should not have left those chidren on their own. As far as I know (after all we only have the media reports to go on!) there is no proof that she was abducted. Who knows if she was in the apartment that night at all? Reports say that 'minders' just listened at the door, if this is true, why was that? Did the parents tell them to knowing that she wasn't there? The apartment couldn't be seen from the restaurant, so they don't know who was lurking around there. I suppose it was only a matter of time before they were suspects although in Portugal, that doesn't mean the same as it does over here. I find their behaviour very strange though. They both show no emotion, if it was my child, I would be distraught and even if 'told' not to show any emotion, I don't think I could. Maybe we will never know what happened, but I do feel really sorry for the little girl.
