I'm still of the (humble ) opinion that they are manipulating the public and the press. The image of Kate arriving for questioning with Madeleine's toy cat "peeping" out of her rucksack? It all feels staged to me, as if they're trying to project an image.
But I did say my opinion was humble John :o)

Everyone is entitled to an opinion cheries, in my opinion the parents are guilty of neglect, and they will have to carry this burden with them for the rest of their lives even if wee Maddie is found safe and well (and I pray she is), however I don't think that apart from leaving her while they enjoyed a meal in the mistaken belief that she and her siblings were safe, they played any other part in her disappearance

Opinion seem divided about the McCanns guilt or not. One thing is for certain. When the truth finally emerges, there will be egg on an awful lot of faces.

I'm no police officer, and so can't comment on whether the parents are guilty or not, but I whole heartedly agree that the parents are guilty of neglect. But even if this is all they are guilty of, this smacks of an attempt to convince us what caring, emotional parents they are, and not the selfish detatched people they have inevitably been perceived to be as a direct result of their selfish actions on that holiday.

The poor kid has been dead from day one. Have you ever heard of a case where a child goes missing and returns safe and well 4 months later? No.

As for her parents, I think the only thing lacking is a daily talk show and a DVD "parenting for those who can't really be ar5ed".

Boo - callous is drugging yr kids and leaving them unattended whilst out on the pi5s.

Add to that the fact the were left in the creche all day and yes the mcCanns are top parents arent they?

All I can say about the whole issue now is that if parents can leave three babies alone whilst they eat out then, in my opinion, they are not caring parents in any shape, size or form. This has left them wide open to suspicion from the outset.

None of us know what has happened, we can only speculate, but I am fed up with hearing criticism of the Portuguese Police, especially from the McCann's extended family. In my opinion, the McCann's publicity campaign has actually hampered the police with their investigations. Perhaps now the McCanns are back in England they can be more focused on the actual case.
