As has been said before in this thread, it wasn't Maddy who was ill on the night of her disappearance, nor given 'drugs', but the child of another member of the party.
How awful they must all feel, the abductor must have been watching the whole party so it could have been any one of the kids. Sorry, I don't mean to go back into gore or sensationalism but it's brought home to me and everyone I know how vulnerable children actually are.

people are so quick to pass judgment; god forbid you find yourself in that situation. we don't know the normal way to react (everyone complaining abt their media blitz) and you cannot believe everything you read in the paper or hear on tv. case in pt in the US years ago : Elizabeth Smart she was abducted from her bedroom while her parents slept. everyone jumped the boat and blamed the parents. they had to have killed her, etc.the theories ran rampant for months until she was found alive and rescued from her captors. i know its not the same situation but i for one hold judgement until i see prove. innocent until proven guilty.

You're right regarding the newspapers. Yesterdays Daily Mirror- 'The McCanns were sat 50 metres from the apartment and could see it from were they were sat'
In fact it was nearer 100 metres and view was blocked by a wall and trees.

Sambro Stop abusing other people on here. Everyone has the right to state their opinion and views. Just because they do not coincide with yours, does not give you the right to slag them off. You have no more proof of the McCanns innocence than others have of their guilt - BUT they are allowed to say what they THINK happened , just as you are - anything else would be libel. To say adamantly that the McCannes didn't do it, is as pig headed as saying they did. I like the rest of you, really don't know anything for sure and can only go by what information the media gives me. I hope it was some batty bird who wanted a kid ran off with her too and that she is safe and well, but i am open minded about the situation and this post was asking if the parents were involved, the evedence against them is as slim as the evedence for them, he looks like a complete b4st4ard and i am more on the side that they did it and i am entitled to my view. well said carsonking, i am in total agreement, no one knows what happened and it is naive to say she definatley wasn't drugged and the parents definatley had nothing to do with it. There is as much evidence to suggest they did as they didn't. As horrible as it is, there are some dangerous people out there, im not neccessarily referring to the McCanns but seeing as there is no proof to say they didnt do it we should keep open minded.

No, I have no proof of the McCanns innocence, but the Lynch Mob on this forum seem convinced of their guilt.,without one shred of evidence. By evidence I mean official evidence, forensics,etc., not the sensational lurid rumours and leaks that we have been bombarded with up to now. No intelligent person can fail to see that there is a deliberate smear campaign going on. Possibly fuelled by the police who it cannot be denied bungled this investigation right from the start. Where are all these rumours and allegations coming from? and why are people falling for them? Yes the children should not have been left alone. But what happened after that? The McCanns should not have to prove their innocence. The accusations that have come from the police (alledgedly)
are so far fetched , some of them are beyond belief , but people are falling for them, and are mounting a hate campaign against the McCanns. Until there is proof that they harmed Madeleine I will support them as i am sure any DECENT person does. To all those who are already convinced of their guilt (why? ) If you are wrong you are adding to their pain. And as for being abusive to Legend then I have no intention of apologising. He asked for it , and anyone who finds his comments amusing is as bad as he is.

Sambro, there is more 'visable to us' evedence that they did have something to with it, they might not and as i have said before i hope not .But your complete blanking of any evedence is very closed minded and you aggression dosn't go hand in hand with your views, you sound like some religous nutter who can't think laterally and those people should be blocked from having views. By the way, if it was me and i was innocent, i would be on the Jeremy Kyle show tomorrow morning having a lie detector test, that would be if i was innocent.
