The Commission for Racial Equality has received a complaint about the childrens tv series, Thomas The Tank Engine. Apparently the names of the engines hark back to the days of the British Empire and it is thought this may offend some minorities. Sir Trevor Phillips the commission chairman, has promised an investigation. Is this Political Correctness gone totally mad?

That is just bonkers!!! Have you got a link to the story please?
Not enough black engines I suppose.
Well there was a lot of blue supremacy on those trains.... Gordon, James, Thomas.. The green and red ones never really got a look in and Toby was just left to the side most of the time.

Also, notice how Gordon, James and Thomas have all been the names of powerful MPs?

A conspiracy is afoot.
A link would be useful, but I will not be at all surprised to hear it.

In an age where Britain is on the verge of declaring prison a violation of human rights, and where it will soon be compulsory to be homosexual and/or moslem (pretty hard to combine the two lol), I'd believe anything.

Later editions of todays Daily Mail, if you picked up an earlier copy, you won't find it.
A homosexual muslim red engine with a disability in this this world doesn't stand a chance.
Can't find the story on the Daily mail website.I did find this one though

You couldn't make it up, daffy.
Daily Mail.

Uh huh.

I'm up to speed now.
The complaint wouldn't have been made by a mate of a Daily Mail "journalist" by any chance?

I know it's unbelievable to think that they'd stoop to such levels
I think Jake and Splat are far to blase about this... it could happen y'know.

Poor engines. What about Ivor?

As you can see, some people refuse to take it seriously, the usual left wing apologist, she should go and live where her name suggests.
Someone has so little time on their hands to complain about this and you think we should take it seriously?

Come on Cambus If you can't spot a blatent "Cornflake-spitter" from the Daily mule yet we're going to have so much fun come April 1st

As I remember it the red engine (James?) was the naughty one, does that make them discriminatory against red people?
When I saw the title The Fat Controller, I thought some complaints had been about labelling Sir Topham Hat (as is his name) regarding the size of his waistlband!
I do think that names such as James, Thomas, Bertie should now be banned in case of offence.
So should the name Mohammed as it offends me!
Gordon (green) had his moments too - remember when he went into a tunnel out of the rain and wouldn't come out again, so they bricked him up in there?
