Its very sad. I went to Kenya about 10 years ago and I loved it. We went on the most amazing safari in the Masai Mara and the Kenyan people are very friendly and accommodating.
my guess would be no, election violence doesn't automatically descend into genocide; nor is it likely to go the authoritarian way of Zimbabwe. I wish I could be certain of that, though.
I sincerly hope things don't get out of hand.It was a dodgy election
A bit like In the Uk where the Government won a huge majority with a something like 35 % of the vote !!
At least they didn't have the postal voting system where huge swathes of ethnic minority voters did'nt have their postal ballot papers collectected and filled in by their local Councillors to save them bother !!! 30 voters living in a 2 room house ?
Zen. Democracy will only survive in a country that trusts its system, and the freedom of its press. That is why here, in the UK, and all the old democracies of the world, we can take winning or defeat in our stride. If our system is as you suggest, why are so many 'ethnics' queing to live here?
I do not wish to start a race debate, nor may I say am I the slightest bit racist. but I will bet my house that the villainous scum who set fire to the church were coloured!!!
There aren't any racist or racial issues here, just observe with wisdom.... This is what people do to each other in certain unspecifiable parts of the world. Take heart though, equality will win through and we will soon have it here ! Oh how lucky we will be.
dont send `em here
It does seem strange over the past few years that the majority of immigrants to the UK have come from war torn countries Avoss so we better lay out the welcoming mat.
preferably booby trapped with their own landmines!
