Dispatches on TV
Teenage gangs, violence (part of their culture laak know wot I meen laak)
Who gives a sh!te anymore ? I certainly don't. While the yoofs kill each other I don't give a sh!te.
South London is going to resemble Jamaica and Kenya soon. These people KILL each other, get used to it in 21st century Britain.
These are degenerates, the more they kill EACH OTHER the better for the rest of us.

Blessed you're truly blessed because you don't have to deal with these scumbags on a day to day basis (I got caught in the middle of a knife fight on the 16th of January at 1800) innocent people are dying in the crossfire.
I saw the same show, and similar to you, I don't weep when gang bangers die. You can't polish a turd.
I got quite angry at times watching it, for instance when one of them said "employ young people" to do what!!!? I could'nt imagine any one of them getting up at 0630 to get to work at 0900! To do some job that they feel is beneath them like cleaning or McDonalds (gotta start somewhere) a job's just work to these dead beats and work is a four letter word to them.
I watched a show on the other side about drugs, and also about street crime before this one. Drugs are the root cause of this malaise, this casual mindless psychotic violence is brought about (in my wide ranging personal experience) by drugs such as weed (yes weed!) it's the escalation when it goes off is more pronounced with druggies, potheads especially.
Drugs are destroying lives, families, communities from Columbia to Croxteth.
GET IT AND THEM OFF OUR STREETS, NOW!

Will your attitude change when one of your loved ones get mugged/stabbed/murdered?
Do you honestly think that there is a bubble that surrounds you, protecting you from street violence?
I think your attitude is part of the problem.
If we do nothing, do you think the violence will die out? That new gang members won't take the place of those who have been killed?

I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to revert back to the licensing restrictions introduced by the Liberals in 1914, "The Defence Of The Realm Act," and tackle the alcohol fuelled violence at source.
Other measureswould be needed of course, to deal with off license sales and supermarkets, but it would be a start.

Oops posted too quickly there! Poor housing, low income, no hope for the future, negative peer pressure the list goes on....I'm sure that these all contribute to inner city problems! And in amongst all this there are thousands of families trying to do the best by their children so lets not just leave them to get on with!
Every generation has this problem. The victorians called it delinquency. The problem then was far worse than it is now.

In the 50s, the country was terrorised by Teddy Boys (so the newspapers claimed). This is not a new problem.
"What is the common thread that links the vast majority of these shootings?"
The common thread is not black people, it is geography. These crime take place in the inner cities. Areas of high unemployment, low investment, high crime, poor health, poor schools, and low prospects. The perpetrators and victims are not exclusively black.

It's a shame the batteries work in your TV remote.
If they didn't, you might have been forced to sit through City of Vice, the series that followed Dispatches.
It showed London in the 1750s with the streets overrun by violent gangs that killed each other, terrorised families and made it unsafe for people to leave their homes at night.
It's not a new problem.
Which isn't to say we should give up on it. But we need to recognise that it's not come about as a result of declining values, immigration, political correctness or any of the other flavour-of-the-month gripes.

I take it that you didn't see Dispatches then?
The gang warfare is as bad as it is in London, but they havn't got their hands on guns yet.
They will.
But you're missing the point...youth voilence isn't a race issue.
Have you never seen 'Booze Britain'?
Do you honestly think that only black kids are involved?
Have you ever been to Moss Side?

This link is about stabbings over a 2 week period in the UK. As you will see on the map, it is not a problem confined to London, it is nationwide. You will also see that not all the victims are black.
