A woman in the US was annoyed by her 4 week old baby crying so she put it in the microwave on full power.

Don't get me started on Maxine Carr. We, the taxpayers are funding her lifestyle, police protection etc. A couple of years ago she came to live less than half a mile from me for a short while. Talk about a pampered existence.When she wanted to go swimming, everyone was turfed out of our local leisure centre.

are you saying that the trial jury and the judge made a mistake in her conviction and sentencing? Or are you saying the charges the CPS brought against her were wrong and should have been more serious? I do not remember enough about her particular court case to pass judgement at this stage, could you find the online court transcript and chain of evidence and subsequent judicial summing up, and also any court of appeal papers, just to enable me to make an informed opinion. i would not like to be accused of making a knee jerk flippant comment at this stage of your enquiry.

I wouldn't go so far as to label her 'evil'. She was in Grimsby when the girls were killed and had no part in their deaths.

She provided a false alibi for Huntley and was convicted of perverting the course of justice - not murder.

She claimed that she loved Huntley and believed he was innocent, which is why she lied to the police. If this is true then it's very sad and she's served her time and should be allowed to get on with her life.

Through work I heard details about the case before it came to court and heard details from the police, which all concluded she wasn't aware of what Huntley did and that she was just stupid and blinded to provide an alibi.

While we hate what her partner did, I don't think it's reason for her to be so hated.

Totally agree wih SRH, from what I remember about the case at the time all the woman was guilty of was believing her monster of a boyfriend wasn't/ couldn't be guilty of murder.

all Carr did was provide a false alibi, which made no difference in the end and for which she's been punished. She should be allowed to get on with her life, get pregnant even. Huntley did the killings.

Maxine Carr served her sentence. Since her release she has lived in various "safe houses" up and down the country at the expense of the taxpayer. She has around the clock police protection at the expense of the taxpayer. When she lived near me (she was housed in a convent) she could do what she wanted (see above example re going for a swim) at the expense of the taxpayer AND at the inconvenience of the general public. This will continue for the rest of her life, and will probably cost the taxpayer millions.
I'm a taxpayer and I strongly object.

One can only hope that when/if she has her own child the true evilness of what she did to Holly and Jessica and their mothers will mean that she lives in torment for the rest of her life. Sadly she's an evil cow and I don't suppose she gives a f**k.

As for the microwave 'mother' I hope they microwave her on the deforst setting for several hours so that it's slow and painful........

How many other mothers, wives, sisters, girlfriends, lovers who have given false alibis for their loved one have been treated like her? How many have gone to prison for it?

TOtally agree with Boo and Jno, we all do stupid things. Love is blind and she wasn;t found guilting of assisting him. So why can't she have a baby? Because she is a danger or because she has a poor choice in men. Maybe her poor choice was so bad last time that this tie round he is an absolute saint.

She wouldn't need round the clock protection if people weren't so keen to see her blood. Evil doesn't really cover perverting the course of justice in my mnd, that seems to fall under stupidity.

There's been no evidence she helped dispose of the bodies - it's just more evil gossip being spread by newspapers who want to get a sale for tomorrow's chip paper and not think about the consequences and the anger that it raises in the stupid readers.

If she helped dispose of the bodies then i am sure she would have got a lot longer than 3 1/2 years. The maximum sentence is life for attempting to pervert the cause of justice.

I think that the press should leave her alone now, she has paid the price now. Why cant people just let her get on with her life.

If my boyfriend asked me for an alibi i would probably give him one if i thought he was innocent.
