Its probably a ploy to avoid prosecution for whatever breach of the peace he committed.
That's very sad! xxx

All of his problems stem from alcohol abuse and I have no smpathy for people like him. I have seen too much damage done to others by his type.
*sympathy*
Remember him being intervied by Parky I think, really anxious person! He has his problems.
I truly believe that Gazza would be far happier if he 'came out'.....
I've believed for years that he's a closet case.

At least if he has been detained then it is probabaly for his own good and perhaps he might now get the help he obviously needs.
I'm in tears ,here. Such a player and a good bloke.
I feel desparately sorry for Gazza & anyone else who has a drink or drug problem.

Okay, no one forces drink & drugs down their thoatts, but once hooked, must be terrible for them & anyone in the firing line.

I hope he gets the help he needs & goes on to lead a 'normal' life - whatever normal is.

There but for fortune go you or I.....
50,000 Geordies think that bringing back Kevin Keegan is going to win them something yet poor old Gazza gets sectioned....pfft!
He was an idiot before he played professional football. he was an idiot whilst he was playing. He is still an idiot. I have no time for him.
He might be an idiot, but I bet his Mum & Dad love him & want him to get well again..
That's so sad. It wasn't just the drink and football, i think fame played a large part too.
