St Georges day, bad idea.
We already get 2 at Easter( often in april), then another 2 in May.
Lets have one on in October forTrafalgar Day instead! As an added bonus it'll wind up the Frogs.
Britain has the lowest number of national (bank) holidays in Europe. It also has the least statutory annual leave.
I'm all for more holidays but, given the choice, don't you want it added to your annual leave (so you can take the time off when you want) rather being made to take it on a random monday, along with 57 million others?
Why not have a National Family Day? Or a British Family Day? (the emphasis being that we get to spend time with our family ( assuming that most people would want to!)
