Wolf whistling and being called names like "love, pet etc" have been going on for years yet now its deemed wrong? Speaking for myself here, when I was younger I used to get wolf whistes a plenty and loved it..lol Even in my latter years I don't mind being called "Love, pet,m,dear" as I do the same. Now if it was groping,a different matter altogether!

Well, not having had the pleasure of actually seeing all you lovely AB ladies in the flesh I do not know what you all look like. I am sure if I saw you all I would want to wolf-whistle you, but for the feminists who do not know this is a compliment.
I do think this is a gender thing, and do not mind being called love, duck or pet by anyone of the opposite sex, but not my own gender (Male). Have heard of men calling men love, but would feel threatened by this. Most men on the bus I drive just call me Mate, so have got used to this. I do not like being called Sir, as feel this is far too formal for general use. If I were staying in a 5 star hotel would feel a bit better about this.
I recall a time when 2 girls half my age quite seriously called out "You look sexy in that jacket" This made my day, so if this is sexual harrassment I think I can handle it.

Once during a cold snap I was having some hot coffee on a freezing town centre bench with my boyfriend and nearby was a workman in a hole doing some kind of cabling work. He wasn't that engrossed in his job; he was more interested in ogling every female who passed by, sometimes making comments. Just watching him wound me up pretty quickly and then the following happened.
A perfectly presentable, plumpish woman aged around 40 approached, oblivious to the workman. Up popped the workman's head as he craned to get a good look at her. (basically deciding whether or not to treat her to a pervy comment or offend her with an insulting one) It was at this point that she rearranged her scarf and threw a piece across the lower half of her face, presumably to keep out the cold air.
The workman, who seconds ago was so anxious to assess her, shouted out: "Thanks".
