Here's how to do it:

I sincerely hope your nomination is for Joanna Lumley, Victoria Wood or Julie Walter.

All long,/b> overdue in my opinion.
sp1814, I guess some people dont want to become a Dame or a Sir as it perhaps signals they are near the end of their career.

Some of those people you mentioned MAY have been offered it but have turned it down until maybe they are a bit older.

I also think that although Sir sounds excellent in front of someones name Dame on the other hand makes them sound rather old and past it.

It is a shame Dame does not have the same "image" as Sir.
Kylie is a bit too young for the honour. Best wait a few more years.

Kylie doesn't deserve to be honoured.

Madonna obvously does, if only for her services to humanity and biceps.
Maddona is not eligible because she is from the wrong side of the pond, Aussies are. Kylie is of course already an OBE, so it cannot be long.

I notice your nomination of Madge wasn't for music or the film industry.
I'm not sure Aussies still are, though the Queen could pesonally offer Kylie a nice garter

The Queen could bestow Kylie with an honoury Damehood. She could not call herself Dame Kylie, but could use the initials after her name.
Personally I think that 90% iof the people honoured shouldnt be
Kylie's an OBE????

I don't know how I didn't know that.

Madonna is married to a Brit. Doesn't that make her British by marraige?

If so, then I demand that she be honoured.

I feel a strongly worded letter to Gordon coming on.
>Personally I think that 90% iof the people honoured shouldnt be

So you see a list of all the people honoured do you?

Dont you realise that the ones that get mentioned in the paper and on the news are just the famous ones.

THOUSANDS of people get honoured every year that most of us have never heard of.

A old lady near me loved dancing when she was a kid, but her parents could never afford to pay for her to have dancing lessons.

So 40 years ago she started a dancing school, and it took kids as young as 2 or 3, right up to adults, even old aged pensioners.

Many people who learned to dance there have gone on to have careers in dance, theatre and so on, which they may never have done without her dance club.

Every year she does a dance "show" in our local theatre and all the money raised goes to charity.

A couple of years ago she was awared the MBE.

Do you begrudge her that ?

sp1814,

Kylie was awarded in the same list as Parky, and he only picked up his gong the other day. Could be that the Minogue will be popping round to Buck House pretty soon.

Honours should be given to the many volunteers who work for nothing in hospitals ie WRVS etc.

Those who run businesses ie dance acadamys etc as financial concerns shouldn't qualify......but then, most honours are 'bought' by donation to Royal Trusts or political parties.
veryhelpful guy

Why don't you get your head from up your own ar5e

I begrudge 90% of celebs getting them

Its ordinary people in the community who should be rewarded like you stated in your very short answer.

You should get out more
