I think it is a great honour for her, she was the best PM we have had. regarding the poll tax besward it was a fairer way than just householders paying, everyone uses the services, they should all pay.

Either all ex P.Ms get one or not unless they were truly exceptional (like Churchil) and say what you like about Thatcher, she was no Churchill.

There is no justification. She did nothing extraordinary to warrant a state funeral. She became a megalomaniac, and her own party got rid of her. Some accolade!
