What I can't understand about this project is this, was the rest of the world's powers asked permission before they went ahead?
In an age when countries get hot under the collar when another country move a few rocket launch pads near to their borders, no one seemed particularly bothered that this project went ahead.

NO Aog because only idiots and the meeja think there is any danger. Collisions of this nature and worse happen all the time in the upper atmosphere with Cosmic rays. Mini Black holes are created and evaporate every nano second. This is nothing new to nature, we needed to build the experiment in such a way that we can study it, ie one the ground. Contrary to the meeja again they are not recreateing the big bang, some of the conditions may be recreated that's all.
