Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, told GMTV: "What matters to me when I get up in the morning is thinking what am I going to do today to help the British people feel safer on the streets. And the Prime Minister and the Chancellor have been focusing quite rightly on the ways to help people going through a difficult economic time."
Does she really expect us to believe this?
It will be interesting to see how many of these so called supportives of Gorden Brown, wil be queuing up to get their names down for his job when he finally steps down.
My guess is that the first in the queue will be, his 'greatest supporter', Harriet Harman.
