Almost as bad as the midwife who is suing the parents of newborn twins because she allegedly tripped over a buggy in their house when making a visit to check up on mum and babies.

On a more upbeat note, however, there was a case years ago when a yob threw a brick at a bus shelter. The plexiglass was unbreakable and the brick bounced back and cut his head (ha ha!). His mum then took him to a solicitor to try to sue the local council. The solicitor told her to get stuffed. Excellent!
It annoys me when I drive into my local supermaket and there are signs on all the lampposts saying
"Leave it on show, expect it to go"
So if I leave anything on show in my car I should EXPECT it to be stolen.
So it is MY fault, not the ba5tard who breaks my car window and steals it.
Surely the sign should be aimed at the THIEF and say
"Steal from a car AND EXPECT 10 YEARS IN PRISON"
We have almost reached the stage where the petty thief can do what the like, knowing they are NOT likely to get caught, and if they ARE they will not go to prison because they are full.

Mind you, our neighbour leaves his garage door open all the time with the light on, so he can go and puff on his pipe or whatever, whenever. Nothing ever happens in his garage, but the house two doors away had their shed broken into by smashing the lock off!! Sometimes it tells the thief there is something worth stealing. But what do you do for the best. I wonder sometimes.
