So with more people living to reproduce who would otherwise have died we are seeing more variation no?
In either case I think there are 2 glaring assumptions.
a) That what happens in the 14% or so of a species has a significant effect of the whole. There really aren't that many of us under western medecine.
b) That individuals reproduce at random within the population ( the world becoming brown)

Did anyone here him being interviewed on Radio 2 this evening (Chris Evans!)? Extremely interesting. I still think he may well be right. A lot of it was far too complex for little me to understand though - a highly intelligent man.
Apparently people with blonde and red hair have only been around for 5,000 years and originally only occured north of Birmingham!
And thank you AOG for telling me I'm a waste of space!!! ;o)
As I said in the thread, I had a touch of the 'Legends'. I really don't know how it happened.

Firstly, I reckon we could all benefit from a shift in how we interpret what it is to be human. I would recommend Ken Carey's "Third Millennium", as a good place to start.
Also, check out the "Mayan Prophecy 2012" website. There are some very interesting ideas there.....There's one in particular, which talks about our planetary orbit and how it brings us through space dimensions that seem to accelerate evolution. I know that's a bit Arthur C Clarkish...but!
Based on the maths, earth last passed into one of these zones around 5000 years ago, and in the space of 100 years mankind developed written language, discovered how to build pyramids, etc, etc, etc.
Almost sounds a bit like "What have the cosmic dimensions ever done for us?"
