They would have to prove beyond doubt that he was actually killed before they sought compensation. The BBC news report said it is notoriously difficult to prove either way as there are many fugitives who 'disappear' this way over there.

If innocents are killed while harbouring these terrorists on the Pakistan border what sympathy can they expect. These surgical strikes are proving very successful but still the UK government refuses to endorse them, For all we know Bin Laden could be the next casualty.
