Sooty!
Does anyone think The Sooty Show was taken off television, because of possible racist connotations?
Prince Charles is now being criticised for calling his Polo friend "Sooty". I think the Media are causing unecessary problems, as from what I gather, this friend has had the nickname for many years. It's not as though Prince Charles created the it for him.

All this "name calling" is blown out of all proportion! It is obvious there is no newsworthy items at the moment as they have to backtrack for politcally correct items! Here in Ireland we don't take offence at being called Paddys, at least I don't! Get a life there are more important things going on in the world rather than worrying about what name you have been called!!
PC has definitely gone too far. There's an Asian lad who works in our post room - we call him Bin Laden. He knows we don't mean nothing by it. He complained to his supervisor, and now we have to call him by his name!
Same thing with this bird who's just started in our IT support area. She's got a right pair on her so we call her Milk Float. It's obvious we're only having a laugh, but SHE went and complained too.
The worst one (this'll kill you) is this bloke who works in Marketing. He's in a wheelchair and for a joke we stuck a picture of Stephen Hawkins in his cubicle and started referring to him as Spazz On Wheels. Now I ask you, what's wrong with that?
I tell you, if these people don't like a bit of banter, why don't they just go and get jobs somewhere else?
This PC Britain is doing my head in.
