Burglers forced an old lady to hand over money by killing her budgie.
I hope if they catch these ba5tards they are taught a lesson in prison at what suffering is. I am sure there are some big lads in there who will sort them out

And no, I don't want to have justice privatised so that thugs are set to beat up other thugs. (How would you feel if it turned out the other thugs are even worse, and you were encouraging their own bloodlust?)

I couldn't give a tinker's cuss about a budgie either, but what you or I think isn't really relevent - it is what the victim of the crime thinks.
Her budgie may have been more importantant to her that the eleventy gazillian poinds she had stuffed under her mattress.
Fortunately, the highest judge in the land agrees;
