Sir James Crosby has resigned from the FSA but said that there is no substance to Paul Moore's allegations.
In light of what has happened to HBOS how can he justify that remark?

At this stage it is Moore's assertion that he was made redundant because he told the HBOS board that there too much risk in their business. The fact that HBOS was doing very risky stuff doesn't prove that Moore told them. Though he probably did!

Agreed. But my thoughts are not whether or not he told them, but the truth in the allegations whether they are made now or then. So there must be substance to the charge that his board were taking unjustifiable risks although we have yet to be told officially that Moore made the allegations before he was sacked, sorry 'made redundant'.

My take on it is if Mr Moore was given a hefty payoff and a gagging order to boot then HBOS had plenty to hide that would have been damaging if disclosed.
