I knew it, we accepted him back into our country, via private jet, house him and put him back on benefits, and what does he do at the first opportunity?
Yes you've got it, he starts to slag us off, obviously with the intention of getting his grubby paws on a stash of cash.
Why? oh why? do we continue to volunteer to become the whipping boy, for the benefit of these crafty foreign scroungers?

What Mr Mohamed did in Afghanistan is a matter of dispute.
He said he had been moved by the plight of Muslims in Chechnya and wanted to train to become an aid and rescue worker.
This was what he was doing in Afghanistan, according to a Sky News report. Believe that and you will believe anything.
But if I have got Mr Mohamed all wrong, then I apologise and look forward to him returning to Afghanistan to continue his training in aid and rescue.

The Mail on Sunday interview is pretty enlightening. First of all it looks like after years of torture/incarceration, he wasn't able to actually supply any real information on which he could've been prosecuted.
Second - if the Muslim-hating Mail are willing to pay this 'dangerous terrorist' for an interview, what does that say about modern journalism?
By the way read up on the torture techniques inflicted on him.
I think that most of us would start giving up our secrets within seconds.

Just goes to prove that the Mail isn't Muslim hating, since it gave this Muslim a voice.
Perhaps it is the Left that likes to falsely accuse the Mail, so as to stifle free speech.
Seems you do not like Modern journalism sp1814, what is the alternative? Getting to know what is the news of the day, in a few weeks time.
How long did it take the Times to report the outcome of the battle of Waterloo?

So, would you accept it would be wrong for a UK citizen to be tortured?
Would you accept it would be wrong for you to be tortured?
Would you accept it would wrong for your mother, father, son or daughter to be tortured?
It's right or it's wrong. There's no middle stance. And the man's nationality has nothing to do with it.
If you can accept it for one, you accept it for everyone.

By the way, you're kidding yourself if you think it's just the so-called 'Left' who slate the Mail.
Everyone who despises the narrow bigotry of Middle England tend to also despise the way the Mail spews out it's half truths.
Ask yourself this - how comes the Left doesn't have a problem with The Times or Daily Telegraph?
Because whatever you think about then, they're honest papers. They serve the news and allow their readers to make up their own minds. Mail readers are treated like sheep.

Gormless,
I won't judge an entire people because a lunatic element use their beliefs to persecute gays.
If I did that, I'd never talk to Christians. They have a pretty strident view on gay rights
And as far as I know, there have been no widely reported cases of Muslims killing and gays in the UK.
The only gay murders/attacks have been carried out by non-Muslims. The bombing of the Admiral Duncan pub in Soho springs to mind...as well as that young barman called Jodi (can't remember his surname). His attackers jumped up and down on his head. His family had to identify him by his clothes because after 17 kicks and stamps, he was unrecognisable.
You see - Islam doesn't hold the monopoly on having filth amongst their community.
Far from it.

I strongly doubt whether all Muslims take the Koran as a literal text. Same way that Christians don't believe all they read in the Bible.
Different sections of the Muslim community interpret the Koran completely differently
If a religious group reads a text and take it's meaning literally, then all followers of that religion will (pardon the pun) 'sing from the same hymn sheet'.
If all Muslims interpreted the Koran exactly the same, they would all wear the Abayah, Burqah, Ummah, Pakistani qamees, Indonesian qamees etc etc...
Throughout my working career I've been mates with a number of Muslims, some born here, and some born abroad. I have never had a problem with any of them. Then again, I've been brought up to take people as I find. This is what I expect of others.

Islam doesn't hold the monopoly on having filth amongst their community. Indeed it does not. But you cannot justify Islamic violence towards gays or any other group of people by saying, '..well you Christians do it, so... there.
It's a pathetically weak argument to justify anything by claiming that someone else is doing it too; thereby exonerating yourself from blame by drawing an immoral parallel.
No - that's not my point.
I was responding to Gormless' post of 20:41 yesterday. It's wrong to single out one religion and say, "Look they're homophobic" when many of the world's religions, Catholics and CofE are just as bad.
Your analogy about the thief is better reworded as a mugger getting on his high horse about a housebreaker - with non-Muslims being muggers decrying Muslims (housebreakers). People need to get their own house in order before criticising others.
I hate all forms of homophobia but for me to to single out Muslims for what I can see non-Muslims doing would be entirely
