I may be on Question Time this week - I need to come up with a question (20-30 words) which is topical (probably about Swine Flu) to ask the panel.

Not sure who the politicians will be, but I do know Frank Skinner will be on it.

Your thoughts?

"Should special checks be carried out on Mexican lorry drivers at Calais"
Should all swine flu victims identify themselves by wearing appropriate clothing etc! Mexican hat! Pork Pie hat! Pigs Tie! Pigtails!
yes, we should obviously close our border with Mexico indefinitely, as a first step. Then all nachos should be expelled.
"Can the panel please explain the discrepancy between Alistair Darling's eyebrow colour and hair colour?"
A sort of spin on the collar and cuffs not matching Splat? ;0)
Ask why all MPs are thieving swines
CD, surely I can't be the only person concerned that the Chancellor, the man entrusted with the financial well being of the country...is the spitting image of Sam the American Eagle from The Muppet Show?
How about asking them about the plight of the Ghurkas after all they fought for us so surely this entitles them to live here, not like the french who all ran away.
All the swine flu ones are great, and you should rightly ask them.

However, they detract from the one great question which is why are most of the medical donations that are given to Mexico given as 'charity relief' which means that companies can 'donate' vast amounts of almost out of date and extremely difficult to get rid of chemical medicines which the donating companies have no use for and don't want to pay to get disposed of properly to hospitals there. These hospitals then have to accept ridiculous medicines they have no use for, store them, and then pay to have them safely disposed of.
Instead of using their money to stop this disease in its tracks (I should have added above, but pressed submit instead of preview)
A flue is something you find in a chimney. D'oh.
It depends whether you want to maximise your chances of having your question asked.
Unless you have been asked by the Producer to create a Swine Flu question, half the invited audience will suggest this topic, and there will be one question on it - the first one.
Find out who the others on the Show will be, then tailor a question to suit.
If the Beast of Bolsover is performing, maybe something succinct about the shift from the Left to the centre gound in Not-so-Nu-Labour?
Ah! - freudian slip when you mentioned politices - I'm thinking of Dennis Skinner. Advice still applies though.
Ask Frank Skinner what effect the reduction of swearing in his act has had ?
It is ironic that if an animal comes into this country it first has to be quarantined.

I know it is not very practical, but considering that this outbreak could cost many lives, couldn't some forms of checks be carried out on persons arriving into the UK from infected areas?
Generally holiday makers returning from Cancun object to being locked up for 6 months.

The bigger risk is getting on planes not getting off One infectious person gets on, dozens of infected people could get off none of whom could then be detected as infected.

I think Mexico has body temperature scanners operating at Airports as were used in the 2002 SARS out break

Didn't you say that was a big fuss about nothing AOG?
Generally holiday makers returning from Cancun object to being locked up for 6 months.

I know you said this with your tongue in your cheek jake, but we are not talking about 6 months, rather a couple of days.

I know the British are rather laid back, but can we afford to sit back until it is too late? I think we should be taking some more definite action than handing out leaflets and paper masks.

Didn't you say that was a big fuss about nothing AOG?

I can't ever remember saying this, can you provide the evidence Jake?
