to be honest, oldgit, I approach your posts with some trepidation because you're ranting the whole time. I'm not concerned with your politics so much as the fact that you always seem so angry at everything, and it's hard to argue with an angry man; you seem to want people to agree with you rather than debate with you.

So I didn't bother to comment.

eerrr, hello, thats why posts are posted, be it 1 or 21
for folk to answer and give opinions, how can you tell by looking at a computer screen that a person is "ranting"
it's more than likely they feel passionate about topics and would wish to open them up, controversial or otherwise !

rants can be detected in print as well as when spoken. Oldgit is perfectly free to post, ranting or not, as often as he likes. But I thought, since he asked why nobody answered, that I'd tell him why I didn't.

Well that says it all, 10 answers, 6 that only criticise me, 1 in support of my posting (which I thank you for that joy) with 2 extra to Gromit and only1 that actually answers the original question, (thank you for that rov).

Incidentally Gromit makes his usual non-contributory reply in the original post.

In conclusion, it is ironic that had I criticised Dr Taj Hargey then AB would have gone into melt-down, what do we learn from this?
