You are not supposed to outlive your children, the fact that these poor people did not is absolutely heartbreaking.

To have your son paralysed in an accident and then lose him to meningitis is unbelievably sad. They were obviously devoted to him and I must wonder there but for.........

I admit to shedding a few tears when I first read this story. Their grief was obviously too much to bear for them and they did the only thing they felt was left to do.
