Perlease, Mankind has control of 4% of the carbon, UK about 4% of that and Sweatyland about 1% of that, so if every sweaty stops emitting any carbon at all that's reduce world emmsions by a gargantuan 0.0016% Talk about pi55ing in the wind! Is Arnie getting over excited here?

Better therefore to tackle the problem and minimize the effects. We need to build better river and sea flood defences. Clean water distribution is a must. GM should be used more in 3rd world countries not in Europe where we can handle it. Short sleeved tops should be banned and more education about skin cancer given in schools.
Greater fire protection especially in Australia. I could go on!
Canute could not roll back the sea, we cannot eliminate global warming.

How much carbon do you think each person in India and China uses Rov?
Is it really their fault?
We still need to do those things because the damage has already been done for the next 30-40 years.
That's happening and there's nothing we can do about it.
What we do now is for our children and grandchildren - which is why I suspect the motives of some sceptics are purely selfish.
Incidently the UK is in the fortunate position of being one of the least likely directly affected countries.
Directly
If you think illegal immigration is bad now, wait till it really starts to bite

Jake - can you tell me of a single case where scientists have proved a 10 year climate model - ie one where they have managed a given area and been able to predict the climate in that area.
I haven't seen a single study that has been accurate.
But we insist on spending billions of pounds on something that can't be proved and is purely a theory.
Would you have been prepared to spend billions on eugenics last century?
