You see I really don't want to move you into my numpty list as I have enjoyed our discussions etc. I just find it disturbing that you buy into this view. Have you read the the sites that debunk the hoax theory? do you simply not believe them. Moonrock,850lbs of it been analysed in over 2000 labs? Russisns monitored the flight, cold war enemies, how they would they have loved to show up the septic tanks. Jodderal bank relay station?? 400,000 people, not one got rat ar5ed and spilled the beans in 40 years?? Please tell me why with so much evidence that they went you side with the nutters?

Just to put in my two penneth, I once met Ed Mitchell, Commander of Apollo 14. He told me quite a bit about his feelings, what it was like looking back at the earth, little things he was allowed to take etc. It is laughable to suggest that he didnt really do any of what he said. Also why did some, if not all of them, come back changed people if they had only been to a studio somewhere?

Firstly, my profound aploogies for not replying promptly to your thread. I missed the thread, until now. I hope that this will not prejudice my position as your priestess, which I value above all things.

Next, I do like to think that we have been to the Moon. It is a much happier scenario, than the "other" scenario, in which the US Govt. has mislead the World for 40 years ...

... particularly as Govt's NEVER lie, as we all know!

However, I am amused by the notion of the venture having been a hoax. It would be witty and amusing if someone from NASA decided to "come clean" and say "Guys, guys ... okay, okay ... it was a hoax". Wouldn't that be jolly!

So, rather than abandon the possibility of such entertainment, I prefer to enjoy the possibility that we are a tiny speck in a huge Universe, and that things which sem huge to us, are really quite small.

If the Moon Landings were a staged, it would seem like the biggest hoax in history. In reality, it would be "just another day at the office" in the overall scheme of things.

And besides ... if everyone just towed the line and said "Yep, I believe everything" ... what sort of debate would we be left with?
