Should these evil bsd dogs be put down?
31 Answers
Again another child is mauled by these evil evil dogs, apart from the fact these were bred by the owners as a status symbol should these evil things be either muzzled or be put down? Also should the police be prosecuted for not taking this complaint further knowing these dogs had been previously been reported?

I think its more that when these dogs do attack they are more likely to kill or seriously injure - something to do with their jaws locking and their sheer strength. Something like a yorkie could not possibly cause the same scale of damage no matter how viciously it attacked someone - and before any yorkie owners leap to their defence, I am not inferring they are vicious dogs, it was the first small breed I thought of and I just mean a smaller dog couldn't do that damage. But yes, any dog can be unpredictable and it's up to the owners to be responsible. Unfortunately given these breeds reputation, they will always attract an unsavoury and irresponsible element as owners.
Agree with Postdog. It's only humans in this world that have the capacity to be evil. Put all the evil peope down before they murder or abuse any more children.
I do agree that these dogs should not be kept as pets because of their strength, but please don't label them with human characteristics like being 'evil'. They are dogs and any dog is liable to turn nasty.

Lofty if you consider the life of a bit bull is more important than a child I feel you have your facts well & truly wrong, yes humans can be evil, when they commit an evil act more often than not depending where in the world they live the justice system of that country sorts them out, in this country no law regards these pit bulls is in place & there should be, is it such a harsh request when a child suffers in the JAWS of the fcking animals that the things be put down? everyone is entitled to there opinion, Mine!! my grandchildren would come first it would not need for the police to put the thing down. these things should be registered under the dangerous animals act and should be MUZZELED AT ALL TIMES & OUTSIDE THE HOME OF THE OWNERS.
I know its the owners fault as well. But you can blame a dog too. When the news came up yesterday and they hadnt identified type of dog yet you can be sure that we all knew the type of dog it would be. Piittbull, rotty, etc. I think all these types of dogs should be banned. Yes other dogs bite pittbulls, rottys are sometimes too strong to pull off compared to others
TWR Read my answer. Did I say that I put the lives of a dog before a child? No I did not. What I said that animals are not capable of being labelled 'evil'. Only humans are capable of being 'evil'. Animals can act visciously but 'evil' implies a thought process not instinct. I also said that these dogs should not be kept as pets -any more than bears, lions, aligators etc. The fault is with the human who keeps such animals as pets not the animal.
Get your facts straight.

The reason that this happens mostly with these breeds of dog is because the evil brainless bully types pick a dog that most 'enhances' their reputation and that they can train to be as aggressive as possible. They are not going to pick a yorkie or a poodle are they? But any breed of dog can be made to be aggressive if that is the intention. These 'people' are the ones that should be put down!
The trouble is that incidents like this will increase the cries from people who do not understand animals, for increased legislation against dogs. This will only penalise the responsible owners because these cretins have no regard for the law anyway and will do just as they please.
