Everyone seems to be showing a little sympathy towards her, but there has been no sympathy shown for her partner in crime.

Like all 'trials by media' - we are fed a selective portion of information with appropriate spin from the papers and magazines concerned.

We have to hope that the jury convicted her on the evidence and not from the 'personality' grafted onto her by world media attention, written by people who don't know her, and who don;t care, but sell newspapers.

Still no comments regarding her ex-boyfriend, he too was on trial also.

I myself think she hasnt done herself any favours laughing and joking whilst on trial. I agree with the verdict

I gather her defence was something along the lines of 'I was there.... no I wasn't... I dunno, I was so stoned I can't remember what happened...' Hardly surprising if the court thought this wasn't much of an answer to the cahrges.

She behaved very oddly right from the start,doing cartwheels and the splits when the police were searching the apartment is a bit silly. All the grinning and laughing during the trial made her look heartless. I wonder if she has some mental health issues such as psychopathy or sociopathy?
I have no opinion really on her guilt or lack of guilt as I don't know what evidence was presented in court,only what I read in the popular press.

I think Daffy has a point - conducting yourself appropriately in line with the seriousness of the situation is always a good idea.

she had such a relaxed attitude because as a US citizen I really think she thought if she smiled and fluttered her eyelashes enough she would get away with it.
Her dad isn't doing her any favors either.

brionon, I was the judge on the case, obviously.

for heaven's sake, lighten up. I said, "I'm not really sure about the evidence" not that I, myself, had carried out the DNA tests, etc.

brionon, the fact that someone else has already been found guilty is an odd factor, at least. The stories told in the two trials may not entirely mesh.

Probably the correct decision although much of the evidence appeared circumstantial.

Knoxy stated that she saw Lumumba rape and kill Meredith, so she must have been there.......then when Lumuba had an alibi and was cleared, Knoxy changed her story.....why?

A credible witness allegedly heard the "death scram" and saw"at least 2 people running away".....who were they?

DNA evidence, flawed or otherwise?
