It would seem that we don't want to get rid of our criminal immigrants.

not a great story aog. i suspect claiming that he 'only wanted to go home' was a vague attempt at defending his latest criminal venture.
"misigaro has amassed convictions for 21 offences in the last five years and was completing an unpaid work order for his last crime, an attempted robbery, when he committed this offence. misigaro was on a community order at the time."
i'm not really convinced he wanted to go home as there are plenty of charities and organisations that would have helped with funding.

There is already a system in place to deport prisoners to their host country.
