Is Brown getting desperate?
What with the Brown saying he wants to form an "Anti Tory" alliance and the Clegg commenting on the desperation of Brown: http://tinyurl.com/y3bey9o . On news24 this morning the pundits generally agreed that most of the LibDemdgains are at the expense of Labour. So is the party over for Noo Labour?

Like the rest of Europe you mean?
I think there is as much desperation (if not more) in the Tory camp - perhaps it's my imagination but I think I can see it on here - there seems a failing sense of humour amoungst the right whingers
Pretty much all the most recent polls show Labour winning slightly more seats than the Tories
But the Killer is that you only have to listen to the Lib Dems to see that they are much closer to Labour than the Tories
Can you really see Cameron looking at Cleggs redistribution of wealth plans via the tax system and saying "Yeah lets go with that"?
Of course Clegg want's to distance himself from the charge of being "Labour in disguise" before the election and that's clearly what's going on here.
But Cameron is watching number 10 slowly slipping through his fingers.

It appears to me that the Tories have no policies and as the campaign go's on it becomes more and more apparent that Cameron is an old school Tory and the public don't want an old school Tory.
I agree with Jake desperation is coming from the right.
As for Brown, policies or not he appears to be a man of his convictions.

Sorry, it's that I can't get over R1Geezer's use of the term "Noo Labour". How does he think of it? Such incisive wit!

I agree Rojash Noo Labour is the funniest definition. Its merest mention makes me giggle!
I remember him saying something like ' f you dont get it i cant explain it' which is just brilliant. A joke that isnt funny and cant be explained!
Yes this is completely irrelelavant to the thread and for that I apologise.
oh one other point.....
(When Labour remain in power can you imnagine how much R1 is gonna whine then!!?!?!!!)
i think I might vote cons just for that reason!

So Quizmonster your brain power is huge as you seem to have manahged to avoid the thread question.
R1, the usual pinko twisting the story. I dont think Cameron has made any approach to Clegg so that post is really irrellevant.
Personally I think Noo Labour died ages ago when the Unions turned it into red labour.
Its hardly any wonder that Clegg is distancing himself, any whiff of Brown being an ally and he [Clegg] is instant history.

Clegg can attack the Tories because he knows they and the LibDems could never form an alliance.
No one seems to notice that Clegg did not attack Labour, he attacked Brown. The Lib Dems and Labour could easily work together, and Brown can be got rid of by the Labour Party by the Conference in the Autumn.
There are 26 LibDems / Tories marginal seats. If the Tories don't get the majority of those, and it is not looking good for them at the moment, then the Tories will not have a big enough swing and they will lose the election. And Cameron will be history before Brown.

Rojash had written ironically about what amounts to a rightie's lack of originality and Sherminator about his lack of explanation. My contribution, therefore, was an exchange of views with THEM - obviously perfectly acceptable as per the quote above - and not an attempt to answer the question ITSELF.
