Whereas I agree that anyone visiting a mosque or any other Religious building should respect the particular dress code.

What I don't agree with that these pupils were forced to attend or be marked as a truant, as regards paying for the privilege that takes the biscuit. If there is a charge then the visit should be voluntary.

What I would like to know, was the trip the mind child of the Headmaster or not?

Molly's quiet.......maybe thrown by sara's question earlier.....lol
I remember my nephew went on a school trip to a mosque - he had his brand new Nike trainers stolen.....that was about 10 years ago now
B00, why would you want to bash our heads together? We've only said a few words to clarify posts.
Wotcha, Yogi ... x
great minds Yogi, I was thinking that too

I don't think she is 16 at all
I was joking naomi!
I'm keeping out of this one :-)
May not be held accountable for my actions otherwise!
Oh right.
i'd just like to know how another procative race/religion/culte question from aog ended up into a charcter dessimation of molly. she is entitled to her opinion (as people) are on here and just because she is young does not mean her views are wrong and will of course change as she grows older. in a question posted yesterday or the day before (can't remember which one) she was being praised as mature, thoughtful and a welcome member of discussion. i too would not alter my dress in order to attend a religious institution as i dress decently and don't have my belly/bum hanging out, as nobody would want to see that. i think what molly was trying to say was that the 'extreme' demands of dress required by the mosque was offensive to her and probably to some of the students on the trip. as for being forced to go or being marked absent - that is ridiculous as it offers no degree of choice or respect for the young people involved in the trip. don't be too harsh with mollykins - she has made smoe valuable contributions to many questions on cb, and as i said earlier - she IS entitled to her opinion and does not warrant some of the harsher posts on this thread. love ya molly - keep contributing x
me, Bobbi? of course I'm 16!
Hiya JJ....x

You ok today, my lovely?

I hear you stonekicker and the sensible person in me agrees, she should- however I can't help but get that harassed mum feeling each time she argues further to the point I want to yell "Stop bloody arguing and get into your room now, you're grounded!!"
I have Bobs, and what with my GCSEs and prom coming up.. it's all go!
aol will get a surprise when he opens this thread up
aol? Possibly- though I think AOG might be more surprised.
