A statement..

I want it to be known that when I lay into someone here because I think they're being racist or prejudiced in some other way, it's nothing personal.
I'm having a go at what was said, not the individual, I'm sure anyone I've laid into (including trt) are nice people IRL.
I also want it known that I am aware of my imperfections and I'm not trying to be 'holier than thou' when I say what I say no-one is perfect myself included.
I do appreciate this place, it's unique and fascinating and there are a lot of amazing people here.

IMHO we all carry our own prejudices, and every single person in here has a section of society that they feel a dislike or anger towards (usually for no discernable reason). We live in a free society, and the ability to be able to have these prejudices is our right.
I don't think I've ever seen a true display of overt racism on here, a lot of pre-formed opinions and ill-informed views, a lot of old fashioned standpoints, but never a proper 'Nazi' style hate thread.
What I'm trying to say is no one is perfect, and the posts on generally tend to Fosters of those who often feel offended on others behalf. Lets all just chill out, express our opinions without the customary chucking of labels, and make love not war

I know we all, from time to time, lose our temper and shout...but some people don't seem to have the ability to talk.

I was at the back of the bus listening to a woman at the front of the bus shouting at her toddler. Everything she said could have been said quietly....shhhhh
