In these dire economic times, I am sure that the happy couple will take on board the "we are all in this together" mantra spouted by Cameron, and arrange for their wedding reception to take place upstairs at Yates'.
Are they engaged then? I haven`t seen the news the last couple of days. If they get married Kate Middleton will never have to do a day`s work again. Oh, I forgot, she never has....

Go to the 'other' thread, B00..........you'll find more like-minded people, there.
BOO.....I agree.....but not the British......if they are famous or successful, they can´t be real so ridicule them.

Success stands uncomfortably with the British.
whos paying for the ring ???
i think the size of the ring should reflect the economy state as a whole
as its us tax payers paying for it !!!!!
they should buy it argos !!!
Yes but if you're grumbling about it, i've a right to argue against it, so im staying <sticks tongue out>

As a matter of interest, ive been Googling the royals and the money they generate, and cost etc, and according to the bits ive read the Royal family (in 2008) costs us £40 mill to keep, however they generated and contributed £179.3 mill (in 2003/04). So its easy to do the math and see quite clearly that they aren't leeches living off you and me.

Hang on...........:o)
I put 2 threads up; one for, and one against............

I thought it pointless arguing with the grumblies so thought I could leave them all with halves of 'bitter' in here whilst we go and party on the other one.
heh, just posted a congrats on it, so stop whinging ;-)
>Future king of England this

So is Charles, and how much did his "sham" wedding to Diana cost the nation.

In fact how much has the whole Charles / Diana things cost (taking everything in to account).

Still I suppose Charles / Diana has help sell a lot of newspapers over the years.

I think you'l find I don't whinge, thankyouverymuch...........<sniff>
No point in moaning good luck to them. They are who they are one day in summer to try and make the nation smile.
Apart from the papers comment VHG, have you looked at how much Charles and Diana generated with their wedding?
boo future king of england??? are you another who says england instead of britain or have the sweaties abandoned him?
I said one instead of the other, no malice or intent in it.
