One of the founders of the English Defense League has been charged with assaulting a police officer.

Simultaneously the west Midlands Counter terrorism Unit tell the BBC that the EDL encourages extremism

Is the writing on the wall for right wing thuggery?

If it is, they will probably be unable to read quite what it is saying.............
That can't be right Jake its not in the Daily Mail and remember the EDL isn't racist they support Israel. :-D
This is a typical case of, "kill the messenger".

It is easier for the police to attack the minority than the majority, it also saves them upsetting Muslims, hell they don't want them taking to the streets.

/// Right wing groups like the English Defence League are turning parts of Britain into recruiting grounds for Islamic extremists, police have said.///

Why do they think these right wing groups are setting up?

It is because they feel they are the only ones prepared to oppose the Islamic extremists.

These recruiting grounds for Islamic extremists will continue to grow, they have nothing to do with right wing groups.

Are the EDL or BNP responsible for the recruiting grounds in Pakistan?

Just read the article but as you don't seem to understand the difference Now is today and the is the past. They are trying to stop people being recruited T O D A Y as the people who have been recruted in the past have already beenm recruited.

Rather giving the lie to AOG's contention that the police are descriminating unfairly against the EDL is the third paragraph

//Two Muslim protesters have been arrested for public order offences.//

Didn't read it?

Ignored it because it didn't fit the "we don't want to upset the muslims" angle?

Note though that they do not seem to have been the ones charged with assaulting the police!

Astonishing, amazing, fantastic The EDL are choir boys
so hard done by

The EDL were set up in a response to a group of Muslims hijacking a troops homecoming parade in Luton.

Two wrongs don't make a right and its hard to argue points in favour of either side.
